Inspiration
We were inspired by Flightradar24.com, the site that shows all airplanes on the map in real time.
If airplanes can be shown, why not taxis?
To track the flight, the user simply has to click on the aircraft they are interested in located on the map.
LThe details shown on FlightRadar24 are:
The type of flight, the departure airport, the arrival airport, the current flight altitude, the arrival time, the departure date, and a photo of the aircraft.
Beyond mere curiosity, in practice it is useful if you want to pick someone up from the airport and check if the plane arrives on time, or if you want to be sure that a family member is safe on board a plane and thus alleviate your own worries.
In RadarTaxi, taxis are shown as a circle with a number inside that represents the number of passengers it can carry.
Regular taxis are displayed in bright yellow when they are active. If the driver picks up a passenger or closes their app, the taxi is displayed in a dull yellow.
Premium vehicles are displayed with a white background. When driven by a woman, they are shown in pink. We also differentiate credit card acceptance with a thicker border.

It allows the driver to locate themselves on the map in a virtual showcase.

We are just starting out and aware that it may take time until this works on a massive scale.
For this reason, the service is free until the end of 2026 for the first 500 taxi drivers who sign up.
Radar.Taxi does not participate in the payment process. The customer pays the taxi driver directly. We do not charge a commission, and we do not collect credit card information.
